Recording of a lecture (including a question and answer session), given by Mary Caroline Richards as part of a graduate seminar. This lecture was probably the basis for Nine Easter letters on the art of education, published in Penn State papers in art education, no. 3 (1967). The text for this publication is in Special Collections accession no. 960036, box 32, folder 1.

Mary Caroline (M. C.) Richards described herself as "teacher, writer, lecturer, potter, poet." She joined the faculty of Black Mountain College in 1945. In 1954, Richards and other former Black Mountain faculty became part of the Stony Point community in upstate New York. She was also on the faculty and board of trustees of Haystack Mountain School.
